Have you ever been thinking about what is the perfect way to spend holidays for you? Do you like luxurious hotels in big cities with all the people hurrying somewhere, laughing, quarreling? If you do then youve never been on a real vacation!
As for me, my perfect weekend is spent outside the city. I usually grab my toothbrush, a towel and a plaid and drive myself to these log cabins in Oxfordshire. Believe me, there is nothing more you need!
If I know that I will have some free time during the weekend, I plan and shop around to book some good cabin in the place Ive never been before. If I have a free weekend unexpectedly, that happens occasionally, I book my favorite log cabin that Ive been enjoying for a couple of years already. Usually I go for a log cabin weekend break by myself. I dont need any company there. I like thinking about my life, listening to the music. It is so nice to feel like I am the only one in the world. I even try to “forget” my cell phone in my apartment.

As soon as I unpack my stuff and have a little snack, I stroll around enjoying picturesque views of the landscapes and the wildness of the nature. It is so nice to join the nature, to feel like you are a part of it. This feeling is unknown for those who live in cities and never leave for a country weekend. After a little nap I get myself comfortable into a hot tub and fly away. A hot tub is perfect for those cold winter days. You can feel the frosty air around, yet hot bubbling water makes you feel warm and relaxed. Usually I stay in a hot tub till late night watching the dark sky and wondering if there are other civilizations in the Universe.

There are several important factors to consider when planning a successful week-end Venise vacation. Making sure some essential details are considered before arriving at your destination will make for a hassle free trip. Venice is a wonderful place for a romantic retreat and has many wonderful activities to do while visiting.

Venice attracts the most visitors between the months of May through early October. Another time when hotels may be booked up is during the 11-day Carnevale di Venezia during February. With these elements in mind, the best time to plan a trip would be from late October through early April. A weekend excursion during these months will be free from crowds and allow for easy hotel reservations. Another thing to consider is that air fare and hotel rates are at the lowest during the winter months so you can make the most out of your stay in this exciting city.

If you only have a few days to spend in Venice, there are a few things to do that will ensure you capture the essence of this city during your trip. A boat ride up the Grand Canal and exploring the shops, bridges and back streets can make for a wonderful Venetian experience. A weekend is also adequate time to take in some of the museums and churches the city offers as well. Venice is also a good home base for day trips to nearby cities such as Chioggia, Vicenza, Treviso, Padua, and Verona.

The theme parks are the major tourist attractions in Orlando, Florida, and rightfully so because Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World are major international tourist destinations. But looking beyond the major attractions there are some smaller tourist hot spots that deserve your consideration. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is one of the most amazing water parks in the world and offers visitors a chance to take a break from the heat while experiencing nine waterslides and many others aqua-attractions.

According to the legend created by Disney, Typhoon Lagoon was formed when a massive storm ripped through Mount Mayday and left a pile of twisted wreckage that just happen to form a near perfect water park. Miss Tilly, a shrimp boat in fact still remains perched precariously on top of Mount Mayday and serves as the parks most famous icon. Miss Tilly looks down on a combination of tropical paradise and kid friendly water playground which includes exciting water slides, daring flumes, quiet pools, relaxing beaches and a slow moving creek where you can just casually float around on a tube.

All of those attraction would be enough to make Typhoon Lagoon an remarkable water park, but Disney water parks are held to a higher standard. So they also added one of the largest artificial wave generators on the planet. Every 90 seconds a massive six foot tall wall of water shoots out of the wave maker and rushes through the pool area to the beach. The experience of swimming in the enormous pool area really is just like swimming at the beach.

Disney did not for forget the little ones. Ketchakiddee Creek offers an aquatic play area specifically designed for preschool aged children. It has small water slides, numerous blasting fountains, a mini-rapids rides and much more, all in a kid-friendly environment under the supervision of trained lifeguards.

So the next time you are in Orlando make a trip over to Typhoon Lagoon. It is a sure way to make a big splash on your next vacation.
